If you don't want to set your smoke alarm off, you can do these in the oven too.
About 800g (2 lbs) of potatoes
1) Cut potatoes into slices (no more than 1cm thick).
2) Heat a few tablespoons of oil and fry potatoes on both sides until browned and cooked through.
3) Drain on kitchen paper before serving.
