Fruit Crumble



Oven Temperature: 180C/350F/Gas 4
Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Quantity: 4 Servings



Ingredients

600g fruit (I like Pear and Blackberry, and my husband likes Apple & Strawberry)
150g (6 oz) flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
75g (3 oz) margarine
50g (2 oz) demerara sugar

Instructions

1. Peel and core any apples/pears and slice them. Put the slices in an ovenproof dish and add any other fruit.
2. Put the flour and baking powder into a mixing bowl and rub in the margarine until the mixture is crumbly! Stir in the sugar, and sprinkle evenly over the fruit.
3. Cook for about 30 - 35 minutes at 180C/350F until cooked. Serve with vegan cream or custard.
[ Rhubarb - for a rhubarb crumble, cut the rhubarb into pieces and put in a sauce pan with about 50g (2 oz) of sugar. Cook for 15 minutes over low heat (stirring now and then), then drain off some of the juice if there is a lot, before putting in ovenproof dish and covering with crumble]
